Robert Duggan began his career in New York, training under a master craftsman and working on high-end outdoor projects, many of which were featured in design publications.
After his early training, he worked independently on restaurant and residential projects in New York and London, gaining a practical understanding of how projects move from idea through to completion.
Wanting to strengthen the design side of his work, he went on to Parsons where he earned an associate's degree in interior design and later a Bachelor of Fine Arts in product design.
After Parsons, he worked in high-end boutique architectural firms and design studios in New York, focusing on drafting, project management, detailing, and execution.
He later founded Bowright Design, bringing together his formal design education and decades of hands-on building experience.
Over the years, his work has included residential interiors, restaurants, bars, retail spaces, custom furniture, architectural millwork, and specialty fabrication.
His approach remains hands-on from start to finish. Combining design thinking with a deep understanding of how things are built.
